99 Coolidge Avenue Update 11/20/23

Aldon Electric Finishing Up Work for Watertown Lab Development

99 Coolidge Avenue, the newest life science project in Watertown, will reside on the six-acre property formerly occupied by the Mt. Auburn Club. The five-story, 255,000 SF building is being built to the highest sustainable standards; and it will achieve LEED v4 Gold certification and exceed the Massachusetts Stretch Energy Code standard for reduced energy consumption by 40%. Aldon Electric has been working on the project for the past year and a half to provide all electrical, fire alarm, and teldata installations for the building. The fire alarm the Aldon team installed features a BDA (bi-directional amplifier) which helps firefighter and police radios work throughout the building in case of emergency. The general contractor on the project, Cranshaw Construction expects to wrap up construction on the project later this year.
