Another Office to Residential Conversion Wins Approval

Post Brothers have won approval from DC's Zoning Board for the conversion of the existing office buildings at 1825 & 1875 Connecticut Ave. NW to residential. The project, named “The Geneva,” will expand the existing office structures, dating from the late 1950s and early 1960s, to include just over 500 residential units along with first-class amenities and community-serving retail. The Geneva will be one of the largest office-to residential conversion projects in the District of Columbia and will also be sustainable through a variety of green-building measures including LEED Gold certification, green roofs, “carbon cure” concrete, no natural gas usage on site, exclusively electrical central hot water heating plant, electronic charging stations, and rain harvesting for the pool. The existing two-story theatre building along Florida Avenue will be removed in order to make room for a redesigned grand entrance into the site for residents and guests.
