Chicago Condominium Building Proposes Converting To Apartment Building
A developer proposes paying $190 million to take over a 51-story River North Condominium building and convert it into an apartment building. This is the second time it has been proposed. The previous proposal was for $188 million and received 77% voted yes, and 22% voted no. The firm behind this is Strategic, which has purchased 1344 N. Dearborn St. in the Gold Coast neighborhood. The proposal needs approval from 85% of residents for the purchase to go through.
