City Council Approves 21-Story Mixed-Use Tower in the Edge District of Downtown St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg City Council, meeting as the Community Redevelopment Agency, has approved plans for a new 21-story apartment tower in the Edge District of downtown St. Petersburg. Washington D.C.-based developer Kettler submitted plans for the new tower which will contain 321 apartments above a 360-space parking garage. Additionally, plans call for 6,766 square feet of commercial space, 351 square feet of office space and parking for 325 bicycles. Kettler acquired the parcels located between 11th and 13th Street along First Avenue North, which total 1.06 acres, for $20.8 million in November 2022. Kettler recently announced plans to build 300-400 apartments at the intersection of Central Avenue and 34th Street in St. Petersburg and the developer is working on GasWorx in Tampa, a 50acre mixed-used development which broke ground in March 2022.
