Construction Progressing at X Tampa
Construction crews are clearing the site in preparation for pouring the foundation at X Tampa, a new development that will add 432 apartments to downtown Tampa. The 29-story co-living space will be located at the corner of North Florida Avenue and Zack Street. Apartment units will include studios, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom units. A unique feature of X Tampa is the rent by bedroom program. Residents can lease his or her own room in a suite with other residents. Each resident has a separate lease and will share common areas with the other roommates. The development will include over 6,000 square feet of retail space, community amenity areas featuring an outdoor pool and deck, a lounge, fitness center and 18,760 square feet of co-coworking space and a garage with 409 parking spaces. The development will take a whole block, the tower will go up next to the existing Spanish revival church which will be preserved as an event hall. Completion is expected in 2024.
