Construction Progressing on Phase I at Gas Worx
The exterior walls are up on the lower floors of the apartment complex that is part of Phase I of Gas Worx, which includes 316 apartments along with 2,500 square feet of retail space. The proposed master planned development would add as many as 5,000 homes, 500,000 square feet of office space and 150,000 square feet of retail space. The Gas Worx project would connect Tampa’s historic Ybor City with the Channel District and the Water Street development. Spread out over 50 acres, the development is being rolled out in stages and includes the redevelopment of a 70,000 square foot warehouse and the demolition of the vacant Tampa Park apartment complex.
