Construction Underway for Lower East Side Residential Project
A 12-story residential building is under construction at 208 Delancey Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side. New Empire Builder Corp is currently working to add the last remaining floors to the superstructure. Based on the rate of progress so far, the project is on track to top out relatively soon.
Developed by New Empire Corp, 208 Delancey will contain 85 condominium units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom setups. It will have a long list of tenant amenities, including a fitness center, outdoor terraces, open floor plans, residential lounges, co-working spaces, and even a pet grooming station.
The building will total 85,000 sqft and was designed by ODA Architecture. The project was originally anticipated to complete in the Winter of 2021, but based on its current state, it looks as though construction may continue into at least the second quarter of 2022.
