Demolition Permit Granted for Site of Bath & Raquet Club in Sarasota
A demolition permit was granted for the site of the redevelopment of the historic Bath & Raquet Club in Sarasota, which will be the site of a new mixed-use development. The plans call for mixed-use community where residents can live, work and play. The community will feature 256 condominiums and 65,448 square feet of office and retail space. The condominiums will offer 84 one, 112 two and 51 three-bedroom models ranging from 700 to 2,200 square feet. The one-bedroom models will include 15% that will be offered as affordable housing. The development will include a one-care park with dog park and playground, a 1 km running/walking trail, a restaurant, pools, tennis courts, and pickle ball courts. The existing facility, which has been closed since March 2020, is in the process of being demolished.
