Developer Acquires Rattlesnake Point Property for $34 Million
An Atlanta developer purchased a 23-acre waterfront site in South Tampa for $34 million. The buyer, Southeastern, plans to build 625 residential units.
A rezoning request approved by the Tampa City Council shows property will be developed with 625 residential units (593 apartments; 32 townhouses), 6,000 square feet for retail or restaurant space, and 5,584 square foot existing restaurant (Salt Shack on the Bay, which is already open and operating).
The land, located at 5411 W. Tyson, has been used as industrial space. Rattlesnake Point is a piece of land in south Tampa that juts into the bay.
