Developer Plans New Thompson Hotel in Downtown Sarasota
Kolter Hospitality, a division of the Kolter Group, acquired the Hyatt Regency Sarasota with plans to construct a new Thompson-branded hotel on the site. Located on the waterfront, adjacent to the Quay Sarasota, the new Thompson hotel would be the company’s 19th hotel in the world. Thompson, which is Hyatt’s luxury brand, has 14 hotels in the United States. No time frame for the development has been given.
