Developer Plans to Convert Hotel to Workforce Housing
Colorado-based K2 Developers plans to convert the Super 8 hotel in Naples to workforce housing. The 104-room hotel will be transformed to a community with more than 100 workforce housing units for essential workers. The workforce dignified housing community will be the first in Collier County. K2 Developers has acquired motels and hotels to convert the rooms to residential units across the country. The developers focus their projects on assisting essential workers who live in sand, ski and entertainment areas. Local companies Moorings Park and NCH Healthcare have invested in the project. The project will have to go through a zoning change prior to the start of construction.
