Developer Submits Site Plan Amendment for 901 North in Fort Lauderdale

Denver-based developer Aimco has submitted an amended site plan for 901 North, a proposed mixed-use development on a 5.64-acre site in the Flagler Village neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale. The new plan for the three-tower development includes 1,818,360 square feet of space, which would 803,060 square feet of residential space housing 797 residential units, an 188-key, 110,383 square-foot hotel, 202,495 square feet of commercial space, and a 659,672-square foot parking garage containing 1,977 spaces. The property includes an additional approximately three acres which will be developed at a later date.  The initial plan included 1,500 residential units, 300 hotel rooms, and 100,000 square feet of retail space. The new plan aimed at improving the urban appeal, contains increased open space, increased setbacks, height adjustment for the towers and decreased lot coverage. The revised plans expand the retail space, office space, restaurant space along with the hotel and a space designated for a 17,845 square foot grocery store.
