Excavation Full Speed Ahead for Brooklyn Supertall
At 625 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn, excavation work is moving along on a grand scale. At least nine different excavators are currently on-site, digging the new 941-foot tall tower's foundation. The project is being developed by The Rabsky Group and will contain 902 residential units. At 79 stories tall, the structure will sit on a lot of just 89,000 sqft.
In addition to residential space, 625 Fulton will have well over 700,000 sqft of office space, 60,000 sqft of retail, and a multi-level parking garage. Notably, the building will also contain a 640-seat, public elementary school.
The 1.8 million sqft building was designed by world renowned architectural firm, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. General contracting the project is NJ-based, Lakewood Group, and construction is expected to complete in 2023.
