Georgetown U. Planning New Law Building
Georgetown University has submitted a design review application for a New Law Building at 120 F Street NW. The site is currently home to The Sarah and Bernard Gewirz Student Center which would be demolished as part of the project. The new would include five floors of academic space, four floors of office and clinic space, and one floor plus a habitable penthouse with convening space.
As with the University’s other buildings, the Project will be constructed to a minimum of LEED-Gold certification under the LEED v4 NC rating system. Among other features, the building will include a green roof as well as approximately 4,800 square feet of area for solar panels. The elimination of two-thirds of the existing parking supply is also an important sustainable feature.
