Ground Broken on Norwood Hospital Redevelopment
has broken ground on Norwood Hospital kicking off redevelopment plans for the closed hospital. The hospital has been shuttered since 2020 when floodwaters inundated the building.
The redevelopment, approved with $20 million in federal funding, will feature 130 private acute care rooms, new emergency services including trauma, pediatrics, and behavioral health capabilities, a new regional state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab, advanced diagnostic imaging, and outpatient services.
