Interior Finishing Underway at The Shops at Big Bend in Gibsonton
Construction crews are making progress on the interior finishes at the Publix store at The Shops at Big Bend. The new development by Clearwater-based developer Boos Development will offer over 56,000 square feet of retail space. The developer has announced that 7-11 will occupy one of the outparcels. Located at the signalized intersection of Big Bend Rd. and Waterset Blvd. at the entrance to the master-planned community, Waterset™ by Newland, the retail center will be anchored by a Publix Grocery Store. Plans include attached space to the Publix building, a building next to Publix, a free-standing Starbucks and a 7-11. The center is flanked by two sites approved for multi-family, 343 apartments, where the apartment community Tapestry Big Bend is under construction, and 293 townhomes. Completion is expected in the second quarter 2024.
