Introducing Prominent Builders 

Experienced general contractor Boston Property Contractors (BPC) has announced a rebranding initiative that marks a significant milestone in the company’s evolution. BPC is now Prominent Builders. As the firm looks to expand beyond the Northeast, they have brought on Jon Hanson as a strategic partner. With a background in architecture, design, and real estate development, Hanson will allow the company to expand its suite of services to current and future clients.

BLDUP: What was the reason behind the decision to rebrand the company?

Jon Hanson: As Taylor and I have decided to create a partnership, we wanted a fresh, new look and brand for the Company as we look to grow the business as an individual entity rather than part of the family of companies that it was part of under Boston Property Ventures (not necessarily included in the release). The name change is certainly not based on “running” from the old name or bad press as have have had countless successful projects and happy clients but we wanted to present under a new name that better represents the kind of business we are and the suite of services we can provide.

BLDUP: How does the new name align with the company's values and vision?

Jon Hanson: We have the skillset and capacity of a large-scale contractor but we are Builders, not just another corporate GC. All members of the team understand the process of building and are skilled and knowledgeable with a full understanding of what goes into ensuring a successful project. 

We take on every project with the intent of building long term Partnerships and relationships. We’ve never had a project where the client has not returned back to us for their next. We feel that transitioning from “contractor” (somewhat cold, corporate) to “Builder” provides a more personal, warmer feel that portrays a true level of care in what we do as our end goal is always about the client’s success in each project and ensure that all their project parameters and goals are met at the highest quality possible.

BLDUP: Will there be any changes to the services or types of projects the company will undertake?

Jon Hanson: We are always looking to expand into more markets. Placing the First Electronics Company global headquarters under contract certainly steers us into a new market as we grow.

BLDUP: How will the rebranding affect existing projects or contracts that the company is currently involved in and how will you ensure a smooth transition?

Jon Hanson: The rebranding will have no effect at all on our current projects. The move was merely a name change under the existing corporate structure with the state. All company structure and staffing remains the same and we have executed a seamless transition earlier this month. Our client relationships will remain as strong as they have been. The rebranding should infuse a level of excitement within those relationships as we are forward-thinking and looking to become a bigger, stronger and more efficient operation.
