King St. Files Plans for Allston Lab
King Street Properties has filed plans for redevelopment of the approximately 56,000-square-foot site at 287 Western Ave. in Allston. The planned 3-story building would include 87,000 sf of office/R&D space designed to complement the local life science ecosystem by catering to younger, early-stage companies. The project will also provide replacement uses for the Boston EMS currently on the site and 3,000 sf of ground floor public coworking and meeting space. The public coworking space will include access to free Wi-Fi, desk space for remote work, and reservable conference rooms available to Allston residents.
