King St. Properties Plans Additional R&D Space in Allston
King Street Properties has filed a letter of intent to an R&D project at 287 Western Ave. in Allston. The project site currently includes a variety of currently vacant commercial uses and surface parking areas. The proposed project is anticipated to be anchored by the construction of approximately 90,000 square feet of office and research and development uses. Per the filing, the uses will be smaller prebuilt suites designed to accommodate research companies in the biotechnology and life sciences industry in the early stages of their growth. The project would be just to the west of King Street's Allston Lab Works project which is currently under construction.
