M-NCPPC Closes on Upper Marlboro Properties for $75M
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission has closed on the acquisition of properties along McCormick Drive in Upper Marlboro for $75M. Included in the sale was 1616 McCormick Drive a 200,000+ square foot office property constructed in 1990 home to The University of Maryland Global Campus. The properties total roughly 25 acres+. The M-NCPPC is planning a roughly $15M in renovations to the properties to create a new HQ for the agency.
