MHIC Closes on Financing for New Bedford Project
Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation has announced the closing of financing with over $13 million in LIHTC for the development of 52 new affordable rental homes and 4,000 square feet of retail space in New Bedford by Alinea Capital Partners. The project, 10 at 8th, will not only provide critical affordable housing in New Bedford, but is a key project in the overall revitalization of the city’s downtown, which includes streetscape improvements, private redevelopment of historic structures, and the new community rail station.
