Mildred Hailey Complex Receives Approval for Redevelopment
JPNDC was given approval for the redevelopment of the Mildred C. Hailey Affordable Apartments Complex in Jamaica Plain with support voiced by Boston city councilors Michelle Wu, Michael Flaherty, Andrea Campbell, and Matt O’Malley.
The redevelopment will consist of a total of approximately 690 apartments which will include the 1-to-1 replacement of the existing 253 public housing units and the construction of approximately 435 new affordable and upper-middle-income apartments. The Project includes the construction of seven buildings anticipated over approximately five sub-phases starting in 2022, with all construction anticipated to be complete in approximately eight to ten years.
