MIT Closes on Volpe Site for $750M
MIT has closed on the Volpe Center site in Kendall Square for $750,000,000. The new Volpe National Transportation Systems Center opened this past September, paving the way for MIT's further redevelopment of the remaining 10 acres of the 14-acre site. Plans call for 3 million square feet of residential, office, lab, retail, and green space.
