National Development-Mount Vernon Partnership File LOI for CBS/WBZ-TV Lot
National Development and Mount Vernon Company have launched a partnership to develop 210,000 SF of WBZ-TV's campus at 1170 Soldiers Field Road in Allston. The companies have filed a letter of intent with the BPDA to develop a three-building, 650,000 square-foot life science campus next to CBS's planned 63,000 SF studio development - approved by the BPDA in December of 2020. The first of the three-building development will feature 210,000 SF of space spanning 8 stories, with two levels of underground parking.
“The site at 1170 Soldiers Field Road is at the center of Allston’s emerging life science cluster,” said Ted Tye, managing partner of National Development, in a statement. “As part of our plan, we will provide substantial public open space within the property and important connections between Western Avenue and the Charles River.”
