National Development Acquires South Boston Planned Development Site $17.375M National Development has acquired the development site of 323 Dorchester Avenue for $17.375M. The firm filed plans for a 21-story mixed-use project on the site in late February. The tower would include approximately 265 residential units, 47,000 square feet of commercial space, approximately 14,500 square feet of retail space, and a below-grade parking garage with space for 198 vehicles & 285 bikes.

West Roxbury Multifamily Acquired for $41M Oak Row, along VFW Parkway in West Roxbury, has been acquired by National Development for $41,761,800. The 80 unit multi-family was constructed in 2018. The property features a mix of one, two, and three bedrooms along with amenity space including a fitness center and resident clubroom.

Plans for New WBZ-TV Studio Now Under Review Plans have been filed for the replacement television station for WBZ-TV along Soldiers Field Road in Allston. The new 3-story building will feature around 63,000 square feet of commercial/office space, production space and parking. The project would also include 124 secure parking spaces and 16 visitor spaces. 

200-220 Huntington Ave

Back Bay Property Ground Lease Rights Acquired for $39 Million National Development has signed a ground lease for the property at 200-220 Huntington Ave in Boston's Back Bay for $39 million. The Newton-based developer plans to construct a new housing development at the current hotel site. The property is home to the 83,778 square foot MidTown Hotel located in Boston's Back Bay. The hotel was constructed in 1961 and boasts 157 rooms.

$5M Plumbing Permit Pulled for South End Co-Living Project EM Duggan has pulled a permit valued at $5M for the plumbing work at 7INK in the South End. Boston's first co-living project will feature 180 units complete with complimentary hotel-style conveniences like high-speed Wi-Fi, premium cable TV, & weekly housekeeping. Amenity spaces offered will include a gaming room, common lounge, and co-working area. Construction is expected to last through the fourth quarter of 2021.

National Development's 21-Story Mixed-Use Dorchester Ave. Project Now Under Review National Development has submitted plans for the 317,000 square foot mixed-use project along Dorchester Ave. in South Boston. The 21-story building would include 265 residential units, 47,000 square feet of office space, 14,500 square feet of retail and parking for nearly 200 cars. The bulk of the retail space is expected to be home to a grocery store. The building would be the first high-rise in the Plan: Dorchester Avenue area with construction costs expected to come in around $210M.

7INK Financed for $53.25 Million via Citizens Bank 7INK has received $53.25 million in construction financing via Citizens Bank. The approved project calls for a 14-story residential building containing 180 shared suites and micro-studios. Developed by National Development, 7INK will be Boston’s first major co-living development, emphasizing communal living. The building will provide a full range of services, unique community engagements and extraordinary shared amenity spaces.

Construction Ongoing at 200 Station Ave in Westwood Exterior work is ongoing for the 4-story Class A office building at 200 Station Ave on the upper campus at University Station in Westwood. The 100,000 square foot project will be home to Citizens Bank, who will have around 600 employees working from the space.

$5.35M Electrical Permit Pulled for 7Ink An electrical permit valued at $5.35M has been pulled by Aldon Electric for 7Ink by Ollie in the South End. The upcoming 14-story building will feature 180 co-living units plus a variety of shared amenity spaces.

Exterior Work Nearly Complete For 80 University Ave. in Westwood Exterior work is nearly complete for the new 40,000 square foot class A office project along University Ave. in Westwood. The 2-story building has been fully leased by a privately held, full-service investment consulting and advisory firm.

LOI Filed for WBZ-TV Site In Allston National Development has filed a letter of intent for the construction of a replacement television station for WBZ-TV at 1170-1200 Soldiers Field Road in Allston. The new building would consist of approximately 62,000 square feet of commercial/office space, production space and parking. Site improvements as part of the project include 117 secure parking spaces and 16 visitor spaces. Once construction is complete on the new building the existing WBZ-TV building will be decommissioned.

National Development Files LOI for 300K SF Project in South Boston National Development has filed and LOI for a 300,000 square foot mixed-use project at the 323-345 Dorchester Ave. site in South Boston. The 21-story building would include approximately 265 residential units, 47,000 square feet of commercial space, approximately 14,500 square feet of retail space, and a below-grade parking garage. The project would also include significant public open space. Sherry Clancy of National Development tells BLDUP they expect to file the full PNF by the end of January.
