The project will create 4-new buildings in total to include 301 affordable apartments. All buildings will have townhouse-style direct entry apartments on the first floor. 

The Mark at DeNormandie Wharf

Framing Ongoing for The Mark Luxury Condos in East Boston Wood framing is being constructed for the upcoming 107 unit luxury condo project, The Mark at DeNormandie Wharf. The 6-story building will also feature 6,500 square feet of shared workspace plus parking for 80 cars. Residents will have access to a private fitness center with several immersive entertainment lounges. Despite the project still being in the early stages of construction, around 70% of the units are already presold.

East Boston Development Financed for $5M The development site along Frankfort & Gove Streets in East Boston has been financed through Metro Credit Union for $5M. The site includes the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church which will be renovated to include 14 condos. An additional new construction building to be added to feature another 94 condos. The project will also include parking for 84 cars and new green space.  

37 North Beacon Street

The project will feature 2 buildings to offer a total of 83 residences, 74 apartments, and 9 condos. 42 parking spaces would be located on-site, in addition to storage for 83 bicycles.

The 24-story building will feature 500 apartments with 26,500 square feet of restaurant and retail space. Multiple amenities will be located on-site for residents, including an outdoor courtyard with a pool and a rooftop terrace.

960 Massachusetts Avenue & 100 Newmarket Street

Site Work Back Underway for 7Ink Excavation and pile driving have resumed for 7Ink in the South End. The upcoming 14 story building will feature 180 units of co-living each furnished and complete with Wi-Fi, cable, and weekly cleaning. The co-living model also includes a regular calendar of curated social activities and large amenity areas for co-working and socializing including a rooftop deck overlooking Boston. National Development tells BLDUP they now expect to open 7Ink in Q1 of 2022 as they work to advance the schedule as best they can over the next many months.

Permit Pulled for Sprinkler Install at 37 North Beacon A permit has been pulled to install the sprinkler system at 37 North Beacon Street in Allston. The upcoming 2-building project will include a total of 83 residences, 74 apartments & 9 condos. Amenities within the project are set to include a rooftop terrace with Boston skyline views, a fitness center, and a street-level art gallery.  

Arsenal Yards

With Additional Safety Protocols in Place Construction Continues at Arsenal Yards With additional safety measures in place, construction continues at Arsenal Yards in Watertown. The project team has reduced the workforce on-site by around 70% which allows for those at work to maintain social distancing guidelines. Workers must also complete a drive-thru temperature check every morning and supervisors are keeping daily logs to ensure no worker is permitted to work if they are unwell. At the site currently, exterior work is ongoing for the mixed-use building set to include the Roche Brothers, parking, and a portion of the 300+ apartments of Blvd & Bond. Foundation & footing work is also ongoing for the other two apartment buildings toward the center of the site. When open Blvd & Bond will offer modern studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments along with a sleek fitness center, roof deck, and welcoming club room.

Framing Nearly Complete for Assembly Row Block 8 Framing is nearly complete for the 525,000 square foot mixed-use property on Assembly Row Block 8. The property will include 500 new residences and approximately 26,500 square feet of restaurant and retail space, adding to Assembly Row's busy streetscape. Amenities for residents will include a 4th-floor courtyard with a pool & private patios and a rooftop outdoor terrace. Select residences would feature private terraces with sweeping views of Boston. 500 vehicle parking spaces, in addition to bicycle storage, would also be provided within the building for residents. Construction on the project will pause as of 3/27 per the City of Somerville's directive. Patrick McMahon, Senior VP, Regional Development at Federal Realty Investment Trust tells BLDUP, "we are fully complying with the city’s mandate and will continue to look for ways to support our community, including our residents, retailers, workers and neighbors."

455 Grand Union Blvd​

Window Install Underway for 455 Grand Union Blvd. After topping off last month, windows are now going in at 455 Grand Union Boulevard in Assembly Row. The 267,387 square foot building will include 237,600 square feet of office space above approximately 29,700 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Over half of the office space has been leased to PUMA. Construction is expected to wrap up in January of 2021 but for now, construction will pause as of 3/27 per the City of Somerville's order. Patrick McMahon, Senior VP, Regional Development at Federal Realty Investment Trust tells BLDUP, "we are fully complying with the city’s mandate and will continue to look for ways to support our community, including our residents, retailers, workers, and neighbors."
