Various Stages of Construction Ongoing for Cantera in Malden The next project coming to Overlook Ridge in Malden is under construction with framing ongoing along with core and site work. The project will include 326 units between three buildings along with a five-level precast parking garage. Resident amenities will include a yoga and spin studio along with virtual golf simulator.

The project will feature 140 residential units along with over 43,000 square feet of commercial space. The Merc Refinanced for $96 Million The Merc in Waltham has been refinanced by Northland Investment Corporation via New York Life for $96 million. The building containing 269 luxurious apartments is located in downtown Waltham. It features three new buildings with resident amenities including a sky deck with sweeping views, a billiards room, a fitness center, a business center and on-site parking. 27,500 square feet of retail space is located on The Merc's ground floor. The Merc is steps from multiple dining and entertainment options as well as direct transit service to downtown Boston.

Invesco Acquires 75 Moulton Street in Cambridge Dallas-based Invesco Real Estate has acquired the property at 75 Moulton Street in Cambridge for $17.95 million. The site features a newly renovated 37,500-square-foot lab and R&D building with state of the art lab infrastructure. The building is located within Fresh Pond Technology Park near the Alewife MBTA Red Line station.

Renovations complete at 75 Moulton lab and R&D building in Alewife, Helical Drilling provides geotechnical design/build solution Renovations are complete at 75 Moulton Street, a newly renovated 37,500-square-foot lab and R&D building in Cambridge located a short distance to Alewife Station and now leasing. Renovation work included reinforcement of the building’s pile-supported foundation and columns in order to support a higher roof load given 75 Moulton Street’s state-of-the-art HVAC, roofing and facade upgrades; Helical Drilling installed high-capacity STELCOR® micropiles, an optimal solution for achieving high axial load capacity in limited access and overhead clearance applications such as existing buildings. STELCOR® micropiles can be efficiently installed with no vibration or spoils, ideal for repositioning of existing buildings. The piles are smaller and more space-efficient than traditional piles, and offer a lower overall cost per kip of support. Helical’s innovative approach was instrumental towards the creation of the state-of-the-art 75 Moulton Street, which features top-quality infrastructure and a sleek new insulated metal panel facade. Located within Fresh Pond Technology Park, 75 Moulton Street offers a top-quality, well-located, lower-cost alternative to lab and R&D space in Kendall Square and the Seaport District and is now leasing. The Davis Companies, developer of 75 Moulton Street, broke ground in February on Alewife Research Center, a 223,000-square-foot lab and R&D building located across from Alewife Station.

LodgeWorks acquires site of future Archer Hotel at 3rd Avenue in Burlington for $4 millionThe future Archer Hotel at 3rd Avenue in Burlington took a step forward last Wednesday with developer LodgeWorks' acquisition of the hotel's 2.75-acre future site for $4 million as recorded in the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds. Prominently located at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington, the Archer Hotel will feature 147 keys and guest amenities including a restaurant, conference rooms, a health club, a swimming pool and 147 on-site parking spaces. Construction has begun on the hotel, replacing a recently-demolished R&D building. The Burlington Planning Board approved the Archer Hotel for construction in December 2015. The following is a link to the site plan set for the Archer Hotel, and the following is a rendering of the hotel: The Archer Hotel site's seller is Nordblom Company, proponent of the 3rd Avenue development project in Burlington. The hotel will be located along walkable 3rd Avenue steps to multiple restaurants and shops in addition to a Wegman's supermarket. The hotel will be LodgeWorks' fourth Archer Hotel. LodgeWorks recently launched the Archer Hotel boutique hotel brand as a boutique arm with an emphasis upon luxury and personal service.
