It may be repetitive at this point but South Boston continues to be the city's hottest neighborhood for development. Now with the start of construction on the massive L Street Station redevelopment and growth of the upcoming lab cluster in the Andrew Square/Broadway Area the neighborhood's popularity is only going to continue to surge. In the multifamily pipeline, there are currently over 1500 units under construction and another 1400+ in the planning stages. Even with this increased inventory Realtor.com reports that in January 2022, the median listing home price for the neighborhood was up to $899K, an increase of 5.2% year-over-year. Given the neighborhoods, prime location with access to green space, the beach, top restaurants, and transportation The Peacock Team does not expect South Boston’s momentum to slow anytime in the near future.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Completed this past fall, The Ceinture offers 54 unique and modern condo residences. Amenities include a furnished lobby with a part-time concierge, a community "work-café", a fitness center, a "sky" clubroom with a catering kitchen, and a common roof deck with gas grilling stations.
21-35 West Second, under construction now, will feature 55 residential units over 2,600 square feet of ground-floor retail. The building will offer a mix of studio, one, and 3 bedroom units with a 6th-floor roof deck and an innovative building-managed car-share service for residents.
Finally underway, the first phase of Washington Village will include 214 residential units and 20,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
