North St. Petersburg Affordable Housing Development Gains Approval
The St. Petersburg Development Review Commission granted unanimous approval to a new affordable housing community in North St. Petersburg. Flats on 4th is being developed in a public-private partnership Pinellas County, the City of St. Petersburg, the Pinellas County Housing Authority and Archway Partners. The community will offer 80 one- and two-bedroom apartment units. The apartments are designated for residents with an income between 40 to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI) The apartments will be contained in a four-story building on a 3.05-acre site in north St. Petersburg. Amenities include a community room, co-working space, and library. Construction is slated to begin in the fourth quarter 2024 with an estimated completion time of 15 months.
