NPC Filed for Allston Square - Condos Now Planned as Apts
City Realty Group has filed a Notice of Project Change for the Allston Square project, planning now to convert units initially proposed as condos to apartments. The changes would affect the buildings at 8-12 Wilton Street, 20 Braintree Street, and 10 Highgate, to include 242 units total with 2,000 square feet of retail. The developer would also increase the overall affordability from 14% to 17%. Per the filing, economic conditions have changed significantly since the initial approval in 2019 and it has not been possible, despite extensive efforts, to obtain the financing necessary to move forward with the project.
