Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor Update 08/21/23

Opening of Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor Delayed

The opening of Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte Harbor has been delayed for the second time. According to developer Allegiant Travel Co., the opening will be later in the fourth quarter of 2023, instead of October 2023 as had been planned. The delay is due to lasting effects from Hurricane Ian, including seasonal weather issues as well as the lack of availability of construction personnel. Construction was delayed for a month in the fall of 2022 due to damage from Hurricane Ian. Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor, southwest Florida’s newest destination, will provide 785 guest rooms, including 189 Sunsuites™ and 596 premium rooms.  Guests will have access to 20 dining concepts ranging from fine dining, casual and quick service.  The resort will feature two pools, state of the art fitness center and full-service spa and salon along with 60,000 square feet of meeting and event space.  The largest ballroom features 14,000 square feet of unobstructed waterfront views.  The championship level Aileron golf club is exclusive to resort guests.
