P448 Expands Its Creation Of “Entertainment Retail Zones” At Boston Seaport

P448 is proud to launch its latest temporary “entertainment retail zone” with the opening of its store at The Superette, Boston Seaport’s newest shopping destination. It is not to say that P448 has commitment phobia, but the brand has found a successful modern retail strategy in its core business growth with temporary spaces since 2019. With its doors open until April 30, 2024, P448 has found that sweet spot of combining store, digital and social components that energize its retail environments into temporary entertainment zones to be a full circle for the brand.

In this latest “entertainment retail zone,” the brand’s eclectic curated store atmosphere brings customers deeper into the intriguing world of P448’s interaction with brands, athletes, musicians and people. The stores are highly experimental: local artists and entertainers are present, as are art and music. All this is further enhanced by the plethora of in-store events. P448’s goal is to have commonality, but with constant flow of evolution throughout the store.

“We are very excited that P448 has chosen to open their new entertainment retail zone at Boston Seaport and being able to offer another high quality, likeminded and innovative brand to our residents and visitors alike,” says Carina Donoso, Vice President of Retail Experience & Incubation, at WS Development.

The P448 Boston store highlights its strong brand connection to the non-traditional sports worlds of skateboarding, surfing and F1 racing with dedicated carved-out areas featuring its collaborations. Olympic skateboarding hopefuls Yam Behar and Bombette Martin will have their evolving brand ambassador capsule collections showcased, plus the brand’s connection to surfing is on full display with its wire-tension surf shelving, made from 50s style boards.

P448’s sustainability message is loudly echoed throughout the entire store. Décor and furniture has been repurposed and upcycled from previous P448 stores or made with recycled materials. For example, P448’s own ice dispenser shoe display, its lacing shed and ply made plinths covered in thin layer of concrete with colorful graffiti shoe stands are all repurposed from previous pop-up locations.  In addition, P448’s stock room consists of recycled boxes to house its sneakers, while its ™ design multi-purpose dustbag doubles as a tote to carry purchases home. The totes are made with 100% recycled materials, no dyes are used to reduce any chemical byproduct of its printing process. In addition, the totes have UPC sticker and QR code for care tips, removing the need for printed product care cards.

As for products, the brand has its first-to-market styles from its “Regenerative Sustainability®” program featuring invasive species, which include the lionfish and the soon to be released carp and Burmese python capsules, as well as its RE:new recycled sneaker collection and vegan apple leather sneakers. Exciting sports focused capsule collaborations, such as “P444 x Scuderia AlphaTauri”, “P448 x Yam” “P448 x Bombette”, plus the brand’s seasonal men, women and unisex sneaker collections and its apparel and accessory items round out the selection for shoppers.
