Permits Filed for Downtown Brooklyn Residential Tower
As Downtown Brooklyn continues to experience rapid vertical growth, permits are constantly being filed for new tower projects that will cater to the area's increased housing demands. One of the most recent proposals is a 21-story residential tower at 101 Fleet Place. Developed by , the building would contain rental units and square feet of commercial space. This would likely come in the form of ground-floor retail. Plans also call for an enclosed parking garage with enough room for vehicles. Designed by , the structure would stand feet tall and total square feet. bought the property in December from Leser Group for $42.75 million. An existing 1-story children's center on the lot will have to be demolished in order to make way for the new development.
