Permits Filed for Large Mixed-Use Project in Jackson Heights

Building permits have just been filed for a 7-story, mixed-use development, at 34-20 Junction Boulevard in Queens' Jackson Heights neighborhood.

Developed by , the building is set to contain rental apartments, offered in studio and one to two-bedroom configurations. While most of these will go for market rate, approximately 50 units will be reserved for affordable housing.

Tenant amenities are to include a fitness center, a landscaped roof deck with various seating areas, a business center with conference rooms, a resident lounge, a pet spa, a screening room, a party room, a package room, and a bicycle storage area.

In addition to residential space, the building will feature a square foot, Food Baazar supermarket, located on the ground floor. Plans also call for a cellar level, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.

Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet altogether. will serve as the general contractor for the project.

The irregularly shaped lot spans square feet and is bordered by 34th Avenue to the north, 34th Road to the south, and Junction Boulevard to the east. An existing retail building (which is currently occupied by the Food Bazaar market that will be relocated into the new building) will have to be demolished before construction can begin.
