Plans Approved for Dorchester Hotel to Supportive Housing Conversion
Redevelopment plans for the Comfort Inn along Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester have won approval. Plans call for the conversion of the hotel into 99 studio units, all designated affordable with a preference for senior citizens. Through a collaboration with the Pine Street Inn, “wrap around” social services will be available including on-site case managers, social activities, access to job training services, and other social service supports. The project will also support a shuttle for residents to public transportation.
