Plans on Hold for Approved Providence Multifamily as Focus Shifts to Labs
has announced it has put plans for a 126-unit multifamily project at 151-155 Chestnut Street in Providence's Jewelry District on hold in anticipation of winning a bid for a new State of RI health laboratory. Pebb Capital had proposed a location at 33-51 Bassett Street for a new Department of Public Health laboratory. Plans would entail 80,000 SF of research floorspace for the Department of Public Health as well as 62,000-118,000 SF of floorspace for biomed tenants.
Plans for the currently-approved multifamily project at 151 Chestnut Street will be re-filed in the future after construction of the new lab.
