Review Set for Mixed-Use Development in St. Petersburg’s Skyway District

 

 

A new urban mixed-use phased project in the Skyway Marina District of St. Petersburg will go before the St. Petersburg Development Review Commission at the commission’s October 4th meeting.  Skyway Village, slated for a 34-acre office park, will be located on the Ceridian campus, located at 3201 34th Street S., which was acquired by Altis Cardinal for $40 million in an all-cash acquisition in December 2021.  Altis revealed revised plans at a community meeting in July 2023. The revisions, along with a new rendering, show that a 23,500-square foot Sprouts Farmers Market will be the anchor tenant in the retail component. Additionally, the new plans call for 92,000 square feet of commercial space, which is nearly double the square footage that was in the original plans. Skyway Village will include up to 2,084 multi-family units along with 119,160 square feet of self-storage space and 3,572 parking spaces. The residential units will be contained in six five-story buildings with individual parking garages.  The retail component will also include 21,500 square feet of ground level retail space spread across the development and a 4,500 outparcel.  The development plans also include keeping the 125-foot-tall office tower which will be converted into an amenity tower that will include a fitness center, leasing office, co-working space, a pet spa and Sky Lounge with Gulf views. The remainder of the office complex will be demolished.
