Revised Plans Filed for Mixed-Use Project in Tampa’s Encore District

Miami developer LD&D has filed revised plans with the City of Tampa for a new mixed-use development in Tampa’s Encore district.  The revised plans call for a 300-foot high, 27-story mixed-use tower, a reduction from the original proposed 28-story, 365-unit luxury apartment building. The proposed development contains one residential tower. The project will also include ground-level retail, leasing/administrative offices, 19,000 square feet of amenity space that will include a pool, and approximately 2,300 square feet of rentable co-working space along with a four-story parking garage. The Encore district is a 40-acre mixed-use public- private development, a partnership between the Tampa Housing Authority and Banc of America Community Redevelopment Corp. Encore includes affordable and market-rate housing and is located between the urban core and Channel district, close to the future Gas Worx development.  The developer has acquired the parcel of land from the development from the Tampa Housing Authority.
