Senior Living Now Planned for Dorchester Project
A Notice of Project Change has been filed for the previously approved project at 554-562 Columbia Road in Dorchester. Original plans were approved in 2022 and now proposed changes include a shift in the development team The Michaels Organization in place of Cruz Development Corporation. Plans now call for 65 senior-focused multi-family rental units, of which 100% will continue to be deed-restricted for a variety of income levels in a true mixed-income program to be developed in two phases. Phase 1 includes the new construction of 50 units in a proposed 5-story building addition to the rear of the existing four-story Fox Hall building, and Phase 2 includes the renovation of the Fox Hall building to include an additional 15 units.
