406 Boston Post Road Update 11/14/22

Site Plans Approved for Multi-Building Community in Westchester

The planning commission in Westchester County's Village of Port Chester has just approved the final site plan for a multi-building, mixed-use community, at 406 Boston Post Road.

As a result, the former campus of United Hospital, which has sat dormant and unused for over 20 years now, will be completely redeveloped as part of an effort to improve the village's downtown area.

Jointly developed by Rose Associates and BedRock Real Estate Partners, the new development will consist of 7-separate buildings.

Combined, these will offer  rental apartments, over square feet of retail space, a 120-key hotel, 90 independent living apartments, and 110 assisted living and memory care apartments.

Tenants will have access to a central clubhouse with a pool, as well as the various individual amenities planned for each building, such as fitness centers and lounge areas. Collectively, the structures will also provide over 1,000 parking spaces, meaning that nearly everyone will have a spot.

Designed by , the project site spans 15.45 acres. The development will total well over 1 million square feet, and it will create roughly 180,000 square feet of public outdoor space. Construction and demolition will likely begin within the next few months.
