Site Prep Underway for 200 Main St. in Kendall Square
As part of MIT's ongoing revitalization of Kendall Square, site work is underway for 200 Main Street (Kendall Site 2). Plans call for a 13-story, 330,000-square-foot laboratory & office building with ground-floor retail space. The building is designed as two stacked volumes offset from each other at a 90-degree angle, with the larger volume cantilevered to create a generous public realm below.
