Slab Poured at Casa di Francesco in Seffner
Construction crews have poured the slab at Casa di Francesco, a new affordable housing community in Seffner, Florida. The Diocese of St. Petersburg and developer Blue Sky Communities are working together to build Casa di Francesco, an affordable housing community for seniors that will offer 140 units. The four-story building will be constructed on a vacant piece of church owned land adjacent to the existing church. According to the developer, 15% of the units will be designated for people 62-years-old and older who earn 30% of the area median income. The remainder will be reserved for those earning below 60% of the area median income. Once complete, Blue Sky and Catholic Charities will work together to create amenities and programs for residents including an on-site literacy program. Additionally, providers of light housekeeping, grocery shopping and laundry services will be made available to residents. Completion is expected in 2024.
