SOME Wins Approval for Renovations to Shalom House
The DC Zoning Board has approved SOME's plans for renovations to Shalom House along 4th Street NE in Eckington. The existing multifamily residential building was constructed in 1911 and currently features 74 rooming units and 19 apartment units. Plans call for a full renovation to create 73 single-occupancy efficiency apartments. All of the apartments will continue to be subject to SOME’s eligibility requirements and be income-restricted at 60 % MFI or below.
