Updated Plans Filed for 1400 Boylston

Samuels & Associates has filed a Draft Project Impact Report for the proposed 1400 Boylston Street project, site of the Star Market. Since filing the PNF on June 6, 2022, the development team has worked to respond to the comments received from the community & BDPA. In response to these discussions, the Cultural Pavilion has now been reimagined to become a standalone Civic Building intended to be operated as a neighborhood branch of the Boston Public Library. The project has also undergone significant upgrades to the proposed open space and public realm improvements as well as improvements to traffic circulation.

1400 Boylston is set to include 553,000 square feet of mixed-use space, including an active street experience of retail and/or restaurant uses with office/research & development space on the upper floors. As part of the public benefits of the project, Samuels will contribute $18 million to support the construction of the residential project at 165 Park Drive including 114 units, of which 48 units will be dedicated as affordable homeownership units.
