Renovations and improvements to the 1972-built Johnson Building of the Central Library in Copley Square. The first phase of the renovations, which opened in 2015 on the Johnson Building's second floor, includes a new children's library section, a teen library section and a new adult seating and shelving area. The second phase, which opened in July 2016, includes streetscape improvements, a reconfigured entrance, a revamped lecture hall and a new ground-floor cafe.
