Plans Approved for New Moffit Cancer Center in Ruskin, Florida
The plans for a new ambulatory center in Ruskin have been approved by Hillsborough County, Moffitt Cancer Center, a national leader in innovative, comprehensive cancer research at the forefront of revolutionizing the technology and treatment to prevent and cure cancer worldwide will operate the new ambulatory center in Ruskin, Florida. The Moffit Cancer Center Southshore will be a 73,510-square foot ambulatory facility in Ruskin, Florida. The new facility will be constructed on an 8.7-acre site along College Avenue near I-75 close to multiple residential developments along with retail venues. Since opening its doors in 1986, Moffitt has accumulated a vast breadth of experience in treating more than 100 unique cancers and conditions in patients from all 67 Florida counties, across all 50 states and in more than 130 countries. In 2022 alone, the center saw more than 598,000 outpatient and screening visits.
