Plans Under Review for 230+ Unit Redevelopment of Medford Affordable Housing Complex
The Medford Housing Authority has filed plans for the redevelopment of Walkling Court. The existing public housing complex was constructed in the 1960s and features 144 units serving seniors low-income seniors & disabled. The buildings are in poor condition and have accessibility issues. Plans for the site call for a multi-phased project to include 144 replacement units and 54 new affordable units for senior/disabled residents (Phase 1) & 40 new affordable family units. Per project documents, the development team hopes to begin construction in Summer 2024.
