Framing Rising for The Alcott With construction permitted for exterior work and multi-family projects in Boston, framing is back underway for The Alcott near North Station. The upcoming 44-story tower that replaces the Garden Garage will feature 469 apartments. The project will also 2,300 square feet of ground-floor retail space plus a new parking garage with space for around 830 cars.

$1.7M Plumbing Permit Pulled for 201 Brookline Ave Cannistraro has pulled a permit valued at $1,723,350.00 for the install of plumbing piping and fittings at 201 Park Drive.  The upcoming 14-story building will feature 506,000 square feet of office and laboratory space along with above ground-floor retail. Construction is expected to last through 2022.

Exterior Work Nearly Complete for The Quinn Facade and window install is nearly complete for The Quinn along Harrison Avenue in the South End. The 14-story building will feature 273 residential units, including 172 rental apartments and 101 modern condominiums, along with 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail. Resident amenities will include an 8,000 square foot fitness facility, indoor pool, plus a 12th floor landscaped terrace. The Quinne expects to welcome new residents in fall 2020.

$4M Plumbing Permit Pulled for Canopy Hotel by Hilton Cannistraro has pulled a permit valued at $4M for the plumbing work at the upcoming Canopy Hotel by Hilton. The 7-story hotel will include 212 rooms along with 9,600 square feet of retail. Hotel guest amenities will include a fitness center and meeting space and 1,800 square foot roof deck.

$1.1M Permit Pulled for Target Fenway Renovations Although it has only been open for about 5 years a permit has been pulled for a $1.1M interior renovation of the Fenway Target store. The 170,000 square foot outpost of the retail giant is located on the ground level of the Van Ness development which also includes 172 residential units and 237,000 square feet of office space.

Still in the early stages of construction, work on the project is expected to be ongoing in 2020 and into 2021. When completed, the project will add 469 high-end apartments, as well as 830 parking spaces.

Framing Has Kicked Off for the 44-Story Garden Garage Tower Framing is now underway for the upcoming 44-story Garden Garage Tower in the West End/Bulfinch Triangle. The new building will include 469 apartments, 20,000 square feet of resident amenity space,  2,300 square feet of ground-floor retail, plus underground parking for 830 cars. The site design of the project will also improve the pedestrian experience between the West End and North Station.  Construction is expected to be complete in late 2021.

Site Work Underway for the Haymarket Hotel Site work is underway for the upcoming 6-story hotel along Blackstone Street at Haymarket. The new Canopy by Hilton Hotel will feature 212 guest rooms along with a fitness center and meeting space. The development team plans to open the hotel in late Q1 2021.

Permit Pulled for Gas Equipment & Piping Install at The Quinn Cannistraro has pulled permits for the install of gas fixtures/equipment and piping for 370-380 Harrison Ave. in the South End. The Quinn will feature 172 apartments, 101 luxury condos, and around 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail. Resident amenities will include an indoor lap pool with a sauna & waterfall, a library lounge, fitness center with squash court, and a sports lounge.

Haymarket Hotel Secures $75 Million in Financing Just five days after a building permit was granted, the Haymarket Hotel development has secured $75 million in financing from Citizens Bank. The 145,000 square foot Haymarket Hotel building will bring 225 hotel rooms and around 9,600 square feet of retail to a presently vacant 1.2-acre parcel located along the Greenway at the intersection of the North End and Downtown Boston. Hotel guest amenities will include a fitness center and meeting space and 1,800 square foot roof deck.
