$2M Plumbing & Gas Permits Pulled for Allston Mixed-Use Project Permits valued at over $2M have been pulled for the plumbing and gas install for BLDG 89 along Brighton Avenue in Allston. The upcoming mixed-use project will feature 129 apartments and 7,500 square feet of retail space. The development will also include 79 at-grade parking spaces and storage space for 138 bicycles.

Permit Pulled to Begin Construction on new CVS at Nobscot Village D.F. Pray has pulled a permit valued at $1,950,650 to being construction on a new CVS at 774 Water Street in Framingham. The permit calls for new ground-up structural steel with a pre-engineered metal roof truss. The new CVS is part of the planned $43.5 million redevelopment of the shopping plaza that would include around 160 residential units and 25,000 square feet of commercial space.

The Speedway Secures $1.6M in Historic Tax Credit Funding Twain Financial Partners have invested $1.6 million in federal historic tax credit equity in the adaptive reuse of the Charles River Speedway in Brighton. The project will transform the historic buildings of the site into 17,000 square feet of unique and varied spaces that will become home to a collection of small format retail shops, local artisans and makers, small food purveyors and a full-service restaurant, event space, as well as non-profit and creative office space. All of these uses will surround an 8,000 square foot courtyard with seating and space for public events and programs.

Plumbing Permit Pulled for Hearth at Four Corners On March 16th, prior to the Mayor's order to halt construction plumbing and gas permits were pulled for The Hearth at Four Corners in Dorchester. The upcoming 4-story residential building will feature 54 affordable senior apartments. A multipurpose room will also be located on the building's first floor that will be used for resident dining and recreational activities.

Renovations Progressing for The Speedway in Brighton Renovations are quickly progressing for The Speedway along Western Ave. in Brighton. The historic site's deteriorated shingles have been entirely stripped away and are being replaced with new ones made of Eastern white cedar. Elsewhere on the project, interior cleanout and abatement have been completed and the restoration is underway for the building's original windows and doors. Expected to open this summer, The Speedway will feature 17,000 square feet of unique spaces offering a collection of small format retail shops, small food purveyors and a full-service restaurant, event space, as well as non-profit and creative office space. The upcoming mixed-use project will feature 129 apartments with 7,500 square feet of retail space. Demo Permit Pulled for 95 Brighton Ave. A demo permit has been pulled to raze the existing structure at 95 Brighton Ave. in Allston the demo will make way for the approved mixed-use BLDG 89 project. The new project is set to feature 129 apartments plus 7,500 square feet of retail space. 79 at-grade parking spaces and storage space for 138 bicycles will also be located on-site.

Wood Framing Ongoing for The Hearth at Four Corners Wood framing is ongoing for The Hearth at Four Corners along Ronald Street in Dorchester. The soon to be 4-story building will feature 54 affordable senior apartments just steps from the Four Corners commuter rail station. Units will be primarily one-bedrooms, 52 in total, with 2 studios rounding out the building.

Construction Underway for Revamp of The Speedway in Brighton After a groundbreaking ceremony last month, construction is underway for the revamp of the Charles River Speedway Headquarters Administration Buildings in Brighton. The Speedway will offer 17,000 square feet of space for small retail shops, a restaurant, events, and non-profit and creative offices. Notch Brewing’s second brewery and taproom will serve as the project's anchor tenant. Construction is expected to be complete in summer 2020.
