Permit Pulled for Additional Demo at Gov. Center Garage A permit has been pulled for the removal of the roof and tenth and eleventh-floor office space at the Government Center Garage. Elsewhere on the development site, foundation construction is progressing for One Congress. One Congress will offer 1 million square feet of office space of which State Street will occupy over half. The 600-foot tall tower will offer amenities including a fitness center, bike room, conference centers, and rooftop terrace. One Congress is expected to be open in 2023. 100 Shawmut

Window Install Underway for 100 Shawmut Windows are going in at 100 Shawmut in the South End. The 13-story tower will include 138 luxury condos along with a small ground-floor cafe. Units ranging in size from studios through four bedrooms will offer high ceilings, white oak wood floors throughout, Silestone countertops, and state-of-the-art fully integrated appliances.


Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport

Framing Back Underway for the Omni Boston Seaport Crews are back on site, working on framing for the Omni Boston Seaport. The upcoming 1,055 room hotel will be the city's fourth-largest hotel when complete. The hotel will also include 120,000 square feet of meeting and event space including two large 25,000-square-foot and 15,500-square-foot ballrooms, 35,000 square feet of restaurant space, 5,000 square feet of retail space and an 8,500-square-foot spa and fitness center.

Final Touches Underway for The Sudbury: Leasing Kicks off This Summer With leasing to kick off this summer, finishing touches are underway for The Sudbury. The 45-story tower is the first building within the nearly 3 million square foot Bulfinch Crossing development. The Sudbury will offer luxurious homes for both renters and buyers with 368 apartments & 55 condos. The condos will range in size from 1738 to 2766 square feet, with just 5 homes per floor. Condo residents will also have access to an exclusive rooftop garden on the 48th floor. Other amenities, accessible for all residents will include a resort-style pool deck with lounge areas, a wrap-around 32nd floor Sky Deck with fire pits, and a Sky Lounge.

An Inside Look at the 20 Front of House Elevator Cabs at Encore Boston Harbor: Fabricated by Draper Elevator Interiors The moment you step foot onto the 3 million square foot, five-star resort and casino your eyes will be busy gazing at all of the intricate details that make up the casino’s astonishing build out. Complex vertical transportation greets you at the front door with a set of extremely rare curved escalators. The tower passenger elevators have similar shapes and curvatures. These elevator cab interiors feature spherical corners at all four sides of the canopies and custom thermoformed solid surface molding panel frames that have integrated LED perimeter lighting. To pull off this design and meet all code and weight requirements it took great collaboration. Draper partnered with Otis Elevator, Jacobs Architects, Suffolk Construction, Lerch Bates Consultants and the Wynn Design & Development team to deliver 20 elegant front of house elevator cabs. The process was over two years in the making and included two mock-up review meetings where all parties involved visited Draper’s manufacturing facility in Holbrook, MA to review fully fabricated cab enclosures and interiors. Draper Elevator Interior’s General Manager Doug Hefler was instrumental in bringing this project to life, from finding new and innovative ways to reduce material weights without sacrificing the architectural design, to working on-site to help guide the installation of over 10 install teams. This five-star resort has five-star elevators that are unlike most cabs you will ever ride in.

Amenity Spaces Coming Together at The Sudbury While interior finishing is ongoing for the luxury residential units at The Sudbury, work also continues for the install of the building's pool. Along with the pool offering amazing views, residents will have access to a fitness center, clubroom, and sky lounge and terrace. Draper Elevator Interiors completes Uniquely designed Elevator Cabs at the Moxy Hotel Draper Elevator Interiors collaborated with Group One Partners to design, fabricate and install four highly custom elevator cabs at the Moxy Hotel in Boston's theater district. The hotel boasts a fun industrial-chic decor throughout the building, the elevator cabs are no exception. Custom back-lit blackened stainless steel bumper rails highlight antique mirror glass rear wall panels. Each elevator has its own unique image which can be seen peering through a 3D keyhole slot, creating a "backstage" theme.

Construction Continues for Omni Boston Hotel at The Seaport Construction continues for the Omni Boston Hotel at The Seaport. Framing is rising for one of the towers while facade install is ongoing on the other. The 21-story building will include 746 standard rooms and 278 innovation rooms. Hotel guests will have access to meeting and event space, a spa,  a fitness center, and 400 off-site parking spaces. With the Boston Convention Center being a main draw to the hotel, there will be access to the BCEC via an existing underground tunnel.  


Gables Seaport

Construction Wrapping Up at Gables Seaport: Units Now Leasing With pre-leasing now underway, construction is wrapping up at Gables Seaport. The 307 unit luxury building offers units ranging in size from 467 square foot studios through 1291 square foot 2 bed/2baths. Amenities will include a 10,000+ square foot 3rd-floor outdoor amenity deck, pool, expansive lounge with co-working areas, and fully-equipped fitness center. First units are expected to open this spring.

Foundation and Site Work Underway for One Congress Site and foundation work is underway for One Congress at Bulfinch Crossing. One Congress, the future home for State Street's headquarters will feature over 1 million square feet of Class A office space.  Amenities will include a grand three-story lobby, conference facilities, and a one-acre landscaped terrace. 


100 Shawmut

100 Shawmut Tops Off 100 Shawmut in the South End has topped off. The new 13-story tower which incorporates the preserved facade of the brick and beam building on the site will offer 138 luxury condos. Amenities at 100 Shawmut will include a 13th-floor rooftop deck and amenity space and a 9th-floor rooftop terrace, both offering sweeping views of the Boston skyline. 


Congress Square

Permit Pulled for FIt-Out of Ten Percent Happier at Congress Square Tremont Construction has pulled a permit for the fit-out of Ten Percent Happier offices at Congress Square. The build-out of the lower mezzanine level will include new finishes, fixtures, and floor coverings. The permit is valued at $700K.
